English version:  Roberto López defines himself as a puppeteer from fair to fair, a man-orchestra, journalist, producer and a bronzed voice on the radio. He received a degree in journalism from the Complutense University of Madrid and the European University of Madrid. He has worked for different TV and Radio Channels like Punto Radio, Telecinco, Diario AS and Cadena SER. He is also an author, director and actor of theatrical productions. A few years ago, he moved to Malaga and since then, he directs and presents the morning-show “El Despertador” on Radio Victoria and the television program “Llegó la hora” on 101TV.

Spanish version:   Roberto López se define a si mismo como titiritero de feria en feria, hombre-orquesta, periodista, productor y broncínea voz de la radio. Nacimiento ubicuo el suyo, ya que es rinconero de Madrid y madrileño de Rincón de la Victoria (Málaga).  Se licenció en periodismo por la Universidad Complutense de Madrid y la Universidad Europea de Madrid. Ha trabajado en diferentes medios, a destacar: Punto Radio, Telecinco, Diario AS y la Cadena SER. David Raya

David assumed the role of CEO of Bluespace (the Spanish Self Storage leader with more than 60 facilities in 3 countries) at the end of 2018, after 7 years as the CFO and previously 2 years as the Controller, being participant in the Board of Directors since 2012.  He joined the company 11 years ago (in 2010) when it managed 13 properties, he has built a highly competent finance team, and his main responsibilities have been sourcing new capital and participating in new acquisitions. Over the last 11 years David has led or participated in the most relevant and strategic initiatives of Bluespace, today one of the biggest players in Europe.  David has a Bachelor´s Degree in Business Administration from the Universidad Autónoma of Barcelona, obtaining first award for his research project. He also completed Postgraduate studies in Auditing at Universidad Politécnica de Cataluña in 2008, an Executive Master´s in Financial Management at EADA Business School in 2010 and an AMP (Advanced Management Program) at IESE Business School in 2014. David is a former federated chess player in Catalonia and loves to do outdoor sports.

For 17 years he was an executive board member at Safestore, joining at 15 stores and 40 employees. As a member of the management buyout team in 2004 and the IPO team in 2008, he played a major role in the company’s success and its growth to a FTSE 250 company with over 580 employees and 134 stores, revenues of £112m and EBITDA of £64m, making it the UK’s No 1.

Dave was also Managing Director of Space Maker Self Storage (12 stores) for 6 years before it was acquired by Safestore in 2016.  This provided Dave with invaluable experience in managing and operating a medium size self storage business.
