Rob Dovey

DSOC

Rob Dovey is Managing Director of DSOC, an NSI Gold Category 1 accredited CCTV Monitoring Station and Alarm Receiving Centre based in the UK. For over six years, DSOC has delivered self storage specific crime prevention through remote monitoring across the UK and Europe. Before entering the industry, Rob served 15 years as a police officer with the Police, a background that continues to shape DSOC's approach to security and risk. Rob brings an operational, front-line perspective on what genuinely reduces crime at self storage sites, and what it takes for security standards to keep pace with a fast growing industry.

Emma Greenwood

SSA UK

Emma joined the SSA UK in December 2023 as a Membership Services Officer.  She has worked in the industry since 2017 as a Store Manager for two large operators and therefore has a wealth of sector knowledge and experience.  Emma is responsible for retention and will be keeping in touch with, and visiting operator members.  She is also the YSN Liaison Officer.

Francisco Parreira do Amaral

Control Space

Francisco is a Partner at Control Space, Portugal’s fastest-growing self-storage platform, where he is responsible for sourcing, acquiring, and developing of new assets.

Before joining Control Space, he was a Senior Strategy & Business Development Manager at CTT, one of Portugal’s leading logistics companies. Between 2019 and 2021, he worked closely with the Executive Board on corporate strategy, M&A initiatives, and business development projects, including the turnaround of a logistics business with annual revenues exceeding €10 million.

Earlier in his career, he held strategy and business development roles at NOS and worked as a Senior Consultant at Deloitte Portugal, leading strategy and operations projects across multiple industries.

He holds a Master’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from NOVA University Lisbon.

Shalin Sankar

Head of Nokē Europe , Nokē Smart Entry

Shalin brings over 15 years of experience in commercial strategy, automation, and customer-centric solutions within the FMCG, Telecom and Self Storage sectors.

He works closely with global operators to support the adoption of smart access technologies that enhance security, operational efficiency, and customer experience.

Leveraging deep market knowledge and a strong understanding of operator challenges, Shalin plays a key role in helping Janus deliver scalable, future-ready access solutions aligned with the evolving needs of the self storage industry.

Katie Vost

Aria Self Storage Hub

Katie is the founder of Aria Self Storage Hub – a technology platform designed to streamline and automate the operation of self-storage facilities.

With over two decades of hands-on experience in the design, development, and successful operation of storage and workspace facilities, Katie has scaled a portfolio of stores and was recognised nationally when her operation won the UK’s Best Independent Self-Storage Operator in 2019. She has overseen the strategic relocation and sale of high-performing facilities to major institutional investors, including a Self-Storage REIT and LGIM PLC.

In her role as Chair of the Women’s Forum, Katie is passionate about supporting women at all stages of their self-storage careers and creating spaces for mentorship, collaboration, and shared success.
