Slagthuset, meaning "The Slaughterhouse" in Swedish, is a historic building in Malmö, Sweden, renowned for its distinctive red brick architecture and multifaceted functionality. Situated just a short walk from Malmö Central Station, it serves as a premier venue for meetings, events, cultural activities, and dining.

Location

Slagthuset is located at Carlsgatan 12, just over 100 steps from Malmö Central Station, which means 20 minutes by train from Kastrup airport in Copenhagen.

The building has three entrances:
– Navigationsgatan 4 – entrance to our theatre foyer
– Jörgen Kocksgatan 7 – large entrance from the west side (Main entrance for the conference)
– Carlsgatan 12e – large entrance to our restaurant

🛫 Flying to Malmö from Abroad

  1. Book a flight to Copenhagen Airport (CPH) – It’s the largest international airport in the region and serves direct flights from across Europe

  2. From Copenhagen Airport to Malmö:

    • Train: Take the Öresundståg train from the airport directly to Malmö Central Station. Trains run every 20–30 minutes. The journey takes ~25 minutes.

    • Bus: FlixBus and other services run from the airport to Malmö.

    • Taxi or Car: Travel over the Öresund Bridge (~30–40 minutes by car).
